At WWDC today, Apple announced new update to Siri, described as Proactive Assistant. It will be launched with iOS9. The proactive assistant is a personalized assistant app that will enhance the mobile experience through voice commands.


Proactive will be able to infer the commands based on your personal information on your device such as emails, calendar events, or your Passbook information. Proactive assistant seems to serve the same purpose as Google Now does but with focus on privacy. It will be anonymous, and the search will not be associated with Apple ID, hence maintaining the privacy.


Apple’s iWatch may not be the most overestimated gadget of all time but it is one of the most awaited product of the year. This product will be available in market in the early 2015.  Apple Watch comes in two sizes i.e. 38mm and 42 mm. The watch will be available with six interchangeable bands and comes in stainless steel, aluminum or 18 K gold. The estimated price of Apple watch is $349. All the watches have flexible, Retina quality touch screen displays, a digital crown, infrared LED’s and photo diodes which takes your pulse. Apple calls it a comprehensive health and fitness device. The watch runs on brand new S1 processor which is equipped with gyro-accelerometer. Users can navigate by tapping and swiping the face as well as through the crown which is on the right side of the watch that will bring the apps.  Apple Watch can also be used as a digital key to open smart lock on the front door of home. The Apps of the watch also allows users to access many other home- automation features such as thermostats  by using wireless connection. The watch will work with iPhone 5, 5c, 5s and iPhone 6. Like iPhone 6, Apple Watch also has NFC.







After a long wait and customer demands, Apple has finally given the people what they want. In fact, users can now have a choice to select from 4.7 inches iPhone 6 and 5.5 inches iPhone 6 plus. Iphone 6 features an aluminum body and glass front that curves around the sides. The base model is iPhone 6 that comes with 4.7 inches screen. The screen has over 1 million pixels while another model iPhone 6 plus has 2 million pixels. The new smartphones will be available from September 19th, and preorders start from September 12th.  With two year contracts the iPhone 6 will cost $199 for 16 GB of internal memory, $299 for 64 GB phone and $399 for 128 GB model. While the price of iPhone 6 plus is $299 for 16 GB, $399 for 64 GB and $499 for 128 GB with two years of contract. In the press conference, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple introduced company’s new mobile payment tool known as Apple Pay.  This new tool aims to let users make purchases from their iPhone and Apple Watch.  Apple Pay uses short distance wireless technology known as field communication. This technology will enable users to make purchases. In the press conference, the CEO of company also introduced Apple Watch. According to the CEO, this is a next chapter in company’s history. 



According to the reports, Apple could unveil their own payment system and an NFC equipped iPhone 6 at the launch event on 9th September. There are always speculations from past few years that Apple might launch their own form of mobile payments that allows the users to pay for the services and goods with the help of iPhone. The company first takes some steps in 2012 when they launched Passbook app. But after that company does not expand it further into true mobile payments systems.  Paying for services from your smartphone technology exists where users can tap their NFC enabled Samsung Galaxy S5 at point of sales terminals which is being found in many Walgreen drug stores. Apple’s entry will just provide a boost which is required in the market. Hall in an investor’s note on Friday said that there are high chances that the Company might announce a mobile payment capability along with the release of much awaited smart phone iPhone 6. He sees many possibilities but this one is the most likely that they expect Apple to start from small things by enabling iOS device users to carry virtual representation of selected credit cards on their devices like in Passbook. In return they expect Apple to charge a small transaction fee every time a virtual card is used. But Apple Company has declined the comment on Hall’s note.



Apple stock price took a four percent dive on Wednesday and their downward movement continues as a bad news which comes before the release of the iPhone 6.  The Apple’s stock dropped from $103 to 98$ today.  Apple would be launching their new smartphone on September 9th 2014 but the Samsung launched their smartphone which includes many new features like flexible display.  This could be the reason for Apple’s stock market slash down. Apple Company has not released the details of the new smartphone which may include new wearable technology.  The nude celebrity photo leak incident which happened can be one of the reasons which cloud have affected the stock market.  But the company has declared that this incident in which a hacker broke the iPhone accounts for various celebrities did not happened due to a flaw in the iCloud. The company is mainly focused on their new feature iCloud, which is an internet based storage system that helps users to access their data and other things from any device rather than their location.  Security is a most important point for the entire tech world.  Apple’s security systems earlier which were quite robust will be under deep inspection.





iOS 8 is the major release of iOS operating system being designed by Apple Inc. iOS 8 is rumored to be available from next week with the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 6.  As the company has hosted a special event for the release of their new phone, there are lots of expectations to see a brand new operating system from Apple iOS 8. iOS 8 seems to be company’s biggest release till now .

It has lot of interesting features in which App Extensions is the most exciting feature of this new operating system. This will give users the ability to integrate deeper into the operating system with advanced notifications.

Also Marketing in iOS 8 app store will get better.  Apple has made some upgrades like infinite scrolling, trending applications and deeper look into the applications which will increase the app visibility inside the app store. Company also added some new capabilities in iOS 8which give users more control and create a better experience for them. Touch Id that has been added which gives its users a way to eliminate the passwords and make their experience more seamless.

Camera API is features which help users to bring camera functionality directly into app rather than transferring pictures. Another feature Photo kit helps users to edit pictures directly in photo apps. One can also identify the burst pics, panoramic pics and high definition videos.

Health Kit is a new app which is combination of various health care and fitness apps. The different apps can communicate with one another and data of these apps can be shared with your physician app such as Mayo clinic.

Home Kit another feature which enables the connected devices to work in a single framework. Cloud Kit is the much awaited feature where users can store and manages their data in cloud storage free of cost. Cloud kit allows its users to securely store and retrieve app data from iCloud.  Along with this, there are many new features that everyone will get to know once it is released next week.



Nokia is likely to challenge Apple and Google by introducing its own free map application for android and iOS operating systems.  Nokia will launch this application before the end of this year. The important point in Nokia’s app is that they don’t require any internet connection for generating of directions during driving.  The application will be for individual customers rather than Nokia’s usual business customers.  Nokia already introduced a map application known as Here Maps which is only available for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone.  The application also supported iPhone and iPad but Nokia pulled back the application last year due to some issues with iOS 7. Currently Apple and Google are ruling the market with their application in both iOS and Android. The objective of Nokia is to hit the market with their rival app and introduce supporting features which are not offered by Apple or Google like offline use. Nokia’s application will help users to download maps and search directions in offline mode, with the help of satellites. This navigation through satellites doesn’t require any internet connection to work. Users of Google Maps have to trigger an offline mode to use the downloaded maps, but the application is not designed to use in offline mode.

The IPhone 6 release date has been disclosed finally by the sources of company. After waiting for quite few months, the most eagerly awaited handset will release in market on 9th September 2014. Although the iPhone 6 has not been mentioned by name itself but the event fits perfect with the past iPhone unveilings.

Apart from IPhone 5C and 5S which are the most popular handsets in the market, the IPhone 6 has gained a lot of market in past few months.  IPhone 6 is expected to feature a completely refreshed large design and screen. It has also been reported that the phone could get benefit from super slimmer profile which is similar to the iPod touch.  Last year, the company shocked many with the colorful and plastic bodied IPhone 5C. If we believe the rumors, the next handset of Apple might share the limelight with the company’s  first Phablet ( Combination of Smartphone and Tablet) offering a handset that can give rivalry to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4. IPhone 6 is likely to have a screen of 4.7 inches which is quite larger than its predecessor. The jump from A7 chip to A8 chip in the next iPhone 6 is a natural course for Apple. Rumors are also there that company might increase the RAM size from 1 GB in iPhone 5S to 2 GB which will give users a better performance.

iPhone the dream project from Apple is coming with a new phone iPhone 6 which will have the best in class touch-id sensor. iPhone brought a big revolution in the mobile world as they came up with iPhone 5s in yearly 2013 with the concept of touch id sensor in form of finger scanning. Apple has planned to enhance the touch id technology in all upcoming phones. There was some performance issue in touch id for 5s earlier, so giant is not leaving any stone unturned to make flawless touch id in new iPhone. Rumors suggest that Apple will be coming with iPhone 6 in two variants of screens 4.7 and 5.5. 
The phone is expected for release in September 2014. The mobile giant will work on realigning the panel of the phone for its upcoming devices. There are also rumors on redesigning of shells for new phones which will increase the security of the phone as well. Company is trying to give a sealed proof of id scan. If the final product appear as claimed, it will be one of its category in mobile world.

Apple will have a partnership in making future apps for their products with software giant. IBM will also assist Apple in providing securities to their devices. Tim Cook told in a press conference that they need to know the requirements for corporate and also for other valuable customers, so they came up with a partnership with big software companies, who are providing these kind of services to other companies and also well known in the market for the same. So both the companies will come together to serve their business and customers better and also we can hope for something really revolutionary coming our way in the near future. Technology is brining rivals together for good cause.
